Anthony Norton MA, FHEA, GTCL (Hons), LTCL (Teacher - Singing), Dip. (Anatomy & Physiology) Cert. Choral Music Education, is a graduate of Trinity College of Music, London, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK and holds certification in Choral Music Education from CME Chicago.
Anthony teaches singing integrating a broad spectrum of method and technique rooted in Classical Bel Canto tradition whilst also delivering the diverse skills demanded of performers and students of musical theatre, jazz, pop and the contemporary recording artist. Drawing upon a successful performance career, extensive research and many years teaching experience, his broad understanding and application of diverse vocal needs has earned Anthony Norton an international reputation as a leading protagonist in the world of singing teaching.
He is an internationally experienced performer, having sung at La Scala Milan, Covent Garden and on Broadway, New York in a career that has seen him appear in productions and tours throughout Europe, America, Canada and the Far East. As well as performing as a freelance classical artist, Anthony is a founding member of the internationally renowned, Three Irish Tenors and also performs regularly with his own ensemble, Passion.
Anthony has twenty years experience as a singing teacher, workshop facilitator and vocal animateur and has guided numerous students to a secure technical foundation enabling them the freedom to achieve the very best results in examinations, diplomas, auditions and performances and recordings at all levels, both professional and as gifted amateurs. As well as his own private practice in Bray, Co. Wicklow, he is vocal coach to the National Symphony Chorus of Ireland, musical Director of the Wicklow Male Voice Choir and a regular presenter of workshops and seminars at universities, colleges and businesses in Ireland and the UK.
